My parents and some friends (the Cabrini Crew) would talk about the Giants at Hudson View Gardens. This is first time I heard names of those who lived there. Nice reflections in the other posts.

Going to a game as a Junior Met and Incarnation Day Camp Junior Counselor with Counselor Ray O'Prey, watched a Phillies pitcher, I think Jim Bunning, hit a pop up towards left field, kissed the upper deck facing, home run-touchem all. Loved the laughes in the dug out. Marvelous Marv was at first with other new and recycled Mets. I had to buy Richie Ashburns bat because the handle was so thick and it had dark wood. The biggest memory of the Polo Grounds was the deep deep outfield and those cool club house steps. It looked like the perfect football stadium. At that time the grass didn't match the Stadiums

Anybody see a football game in the Polo Grounds?

Never thought of this till now... I live in an apartment close to Giant Stadium and a few Giants stay here after preseason. It made the past few seasons special, cheering for the second teamers. I guess I came full circle or at least a small orb.
